PopDiggers is a small business which I run from the south of Sweden. Up until the end of 2012 I operated under the name of Torpedopop. It had its roots in my label Torpedo Records which kicked off in 1997.
It all begun much earlier though. To support artists/labels I liked, I decided to import extra copies of the records I bought. Then I tried to convince like minded friends of the excellence of the music! In 1990 I was involved in starting the music magazine Now & Then.
Things really hit the road when I took over the company Kangaroo Records and the the first catalogue arrived to customers in September 1994. As the name reveals I sold mostly Australian imports. Accordingly you’ll find many rare and deleted Aussie items being added to the shop in the near future.
In 1997, together with my friend Hans, I started a new magazine called Impact in which we also decided to include a mailorder section. As a big part of the magazine covered power pop and garage rock it was a natural step to sell this music.
At the same time the first Torpedo Records release was out with an Australian band called Jack And The Beanstalk (Serial). So far there has been seven releases. All, except the latest one, have been hand numbered and in either digipak or paper sleeves.
Since I started my aim has been to give my customers the best service. As a collector myself I take great care to pack your orders carefully. I always separate vinyl from cover to avoid seam splits.
All items listed in the shop I have in stock. I visit the post office every day so your package is normally sent the next day. If you order on a weekend your package will be sent on Monday. You’ll find more details at FAQ.
Any questions you might have, don’t hesitate to contact me.
And don’t forget to visit our main site PopDiggers where you’ll find many articles and over 1000 reviews.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and allowed me to continue pursuing my music passion.
